Welcome to Hillside Port Isaac. Our aim is to provide every guest with a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay. These Booking Terms & Conditions are intended to protect both our guests and ourselves and form the basis of every direct booking.
The Hillside Promise – We promise to present Hillside to a high standard, respond promptly to genuine issues during your stay, treat your personal information responsibly and deal fairly and reasonably with our guests.
Bookings are provisional until a 25% deposit has been received by bank transfer. A booking confirmation email confirms acceptance. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. Bookings made within 8 weeks require full payment. If the deposit is not received within the timescale advised, we reserve the right to release the dates without further notice.
Payment is by bank transfer only. Bank details will only be supplied from our official Hillside email address. Please contact us if you receive notification that our bank details have changed.
More than 8 weeks (56 days) before arrival: refunded minus deposit unless dates are successfully re-let (in which case, deposit will be refunded too). Between 28 and 56 days: 50% of the total booking retained, unless dates are successfully re-let (in which case, full refund will be made). Less than 28 days: non-refundable unless dates are successfully re-let. We strongly recommend that guests purchase suitable holiday cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
Check-in from 4.00pm. Check-out by 10.00am.
Maximum occupancy is 9 guests. Only guests named on the booking may stay overnight. Day visitors require prior agreement.
No parties, events, hen or stag groups are permitted.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at no additional charge. Owners must clean up after pets and prevent them causing nuisance or damage. Dogs must not be left unattended.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the property.
Charging electric vehicles from domestic sockets, extension leads or external power outlets is strictly prohibited. There is an Evolt Network Charging Station in the carpark at the top of the village (PL29 3SG), just a minute's walk from Hillside, opposite Outlaw's Guesthouse & Bistro.
Guests agree to treat the property with care, report any damage promptly, leave the property reasonably clean and tidy, respect neighbours particularly between 10pm and 8am, and comply with the Welcome Book.
Minor accidental breakages (such as a glass or mug) will not normally be charged, but should be reported. Significant damage, missing items or excessive cleaning may entail a charge.
Wi-Fi is provided as a convenience. Availability cannot be guaranteed and no compensation is payable for interruptions beyond the owner's control. Temporary interruptions to electricity, water, broadband or TV supplied by third parties do not constitute a breach of contract. Mobile phone reception is variable depending on the service provider.
The owner or property manager may enter the property for emergencies, essential maintenance or safety reasons.
Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact Hillside’s property manager immediately to give him and his team the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return (and to recommend us to your friends!). We will do our best to resolve any problem immediately during your stay. Complaints first raised after departure may limit our ability to investigate.
Neither party shall be liable for events beyond reasonable control including severe weather, government restrictions, fire, flood or utility failures. If Hillside cannot be made available, payments received for the affected stay will be refunded.
The owner is not responsible for loss or damage to guests' personal belongings except where caused by the owner's negligence. Guests remain responsible for children, pets and personal safety throughout their stay.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
